Hey Friends!
I’m really surprised you clicked this regardless the headline and my very long break…
Honestly, it’s been a while since the last Blog Post: MY 7-DAY LAGOS ITINERARY and until recently, I haven’t published any article.
Thanks for sticking around and Hello if you’re new to this Blog.
With all the freetime I had on my hands from blog-related stuff, I intended to visit ERIN IJESHA WATERFALLS alongside few friends but we cancelled the trip because of insecurity (fulani herdsmen) in Osun state.
As I write this, I’m currently watching the premiere of Big Brother Naija, this edition is tagged, “pepper dem” and although there’s no drama yet, it’s a good dose of fun with star performances from Teni the Entertainer, Zlatan and Burna Boy.
Housemates sum up to 22 contestants and I hear the winner gets a whopping 60 Million Naira! Perhaps, I would consider running in some years, I’m not a huge fan of celebrity-status fame but I could utilise the money for travelling and developing extraordinary blog content.
The program is so intriguing and I’m trying hard to concentrate on this narrative to avoid any errors. At least you know this was my most significant break.
For starters, my name is Eromonsele Emmanuel, call me “erico” for short. I’m from Edo State, Nigeria and I love documenting travel experiences. This is my 38th post on this blog and you won’t believe it’s the first time I’m writing an introductory post! (#1 Blogging Mistake)
How Did I Choose ericotrips?
I selected the name for this travel blog because it best describes it’s purpose. Truth be told, ericotrips was supposed to be called travelog, travelogue or “ericotravels” but the domain names were taken and a friend advised that trips would sound better. Sincerely, does it?

WHAT IF I MADE A MISTAKE?
Blogging has fueled my curiosity, it has given me a platform to write, discuss and air my opinions to the world. I can prove that I’ve amassed over 3,000 views because of hardwork, friends, family, a strong support group and God, Praise His Holy Name.
In the words of Neil Patel, one of the easiest things to do is to start a blog but whenever creative juices stop flowing, I sometimes doubt myself.
MOVING FORWARD
In celebration of my blog’s one year anniversary this September, I’ll be writing a post on common blogging mistakes I made.
The Upside of blogging and social media is I’ve become so comfortable with making friends online, whether it’s for communication, networking, blogging or comments. Consistency is always a challenge tho.
In the same vein, I’m able to speak to locals for inquiry whenever I visit a new location. Thanks to encouragement from family and friends, as this blog grows and more of you join ericotrips network (see this for details) I’m thinking of better ways to develop content so I don’t let you down.
I know I can’t change the past but as the river keeps flowing I’ll keep on moving on. – Asa
BEYOND THE EDGE
When I started this travel blog, I didn’t know what I was doing. I wrote an article criticising the Lagos Rapid Bus Transit System while stating some advantages and pretty much after that, I was lost! Without any other material to publish because of poor planning and scheduling (#2 Blogging Mistake). [READ: THE BEST SOLUTION EVER TO MASS TRANSIT IN LAGOS STATE]
I waited a while before posting some Fiction Stories totally outside my niche then I expanded to Public Transit, Travel Lifestyle, Art Galleries, Beaches and Resorts, Hotels and Sport Centers. Oh My Goodness! I’ve said too much.
The links to some Fiction Stories are displayed below. Comment after reading them if you think I should occasionally publish such work.
Since I’m attempting to make my blogging delivery seamless, I’ll appreciate recommendations. Drop them in the comment box below.
