When I began my NYSC program in Osogbo, Osun state, one of the cool spots I visited asides Aloha Resort, Aurora Conference Centre or Osun-Osogbo Grove was the very prestigious Ideal Nest Hotel. Founded by Mr Olalekan Olayele, a business magnate and frequent traveller, Ideal Nest Hotel repackages hospitality and customer service on a whole new level!

Now get this, a couple of months ago when I walked into the hotel, I planned to write the sincerest review ever so I didn’t introduce myself as a blogger or anything close. Instead, I gave one of the best stories of how I was searching for where to have my next event and how I’d like to see if the hotel was conducive for guests. And with these few words, Tasha, the receptionist convinced me all along to bank on them as we inspected the premises and facilities.

First off, Ideal Nest is nestled on Plot 1, Oroki Estate, East West Bypass, Ring Road, Osogbo, Osun state. It is very accessible. That day, I walked from the Government House to the Hotel but if you’re nowhere near, you can take a motorcycle ride from almost anywhere in Osogbo to Ideal Nest. Lamenco Roundabout should ring a bell. It’s that easy. Plus, it’s popular!

What’s inside like?

On entry, the first thing I noticed was the ambiance and clean air and this is probably because there’s a lot of greenery in the premises. I’m talking Shrubs, Palm Trees, and some other trees I don’t now the name of. It’s so beautiful. Just picture the MUSON Centre.

Another thing I noticed was how spacious it was, a lot of ample parking spaces are dotted around the premises and the security operatives are super nice.

Where can I book?

Booking is possible online [Book Now] and at the reception. After a lengthy conversation with Tasha, the young lady in charge, I learnt that all rooms are fully air conditioned and guests are entitled to WiFi services. I asked about Ideal Nest room pricing and here’s what I got.

  • Supreme Room (47 Available) – N18,375
  • Diplomatic Room (3 Available) – N52,500
  • Deluxe Room (1 Available) – N26,250

Now, isn’t this affordable? There’s always a 10% discount on Supreme when you book from ten rooms and above and privileges for Diplomatic residents include a drink on arrival, nightly turn down service and valet parking while the Deluxe occupier simply gets a complimentary breakfast.

Can I host my parties here?

Why not? The lush vegetation, greenery and ample parking spaces are various reasons why Ideal Nest should be perfect for your guests and it’s situated in one if the most secure neighbourhoods in Osogbo city.

When I inquired about the event hall from Tasha, she mentioned that the cheapest option was a theatre hall priced at N120,000 and you incure additional fees when you request a DJ, Music or finger foods. It’s perfect for business meetings or get-togethers.

Another alternative is the poolside, restaurant and bar. It’s much more affordable and lively. Suitable for birthdays, socializing or pure entertainment events, there’s almost no limit to your dreams in Ideal Nest Hotel.

The Sum Up

Evidently, there’s a bunch of hotels springing up in Osogbo everytime you visit so why does Ideal Nest Hotel take the cake? For me, the hotel gives off Lagos city vibes but since that’s not enough reason, I love the architecture and it is serene. Probably one of the most serene places you can visit in the city. What’s it for you?

If you visit Osogboland today, would you crash at the Ideal Nest Hotel?

  3. The hotel looks great and I think it’s well-named too. It looks like the type of business hotel that would also have a great restaurant and drink selections.
